Dr.Kyle Dumpert

Dr. Dumpert was born and raised in Bedford. After graduating from Bedford High School, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a major of Natural Science and minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. Dr. Dumpert then completed dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Dumpert has a strong desire to help those in need, and while in dental school, he was able to organize, lead, and participate in dental mission trips to Honduras three years in a row, and provide greatly needed dental care to rural Honduras.

Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Dumpert was selected out of hundreds of applicants to join a one-year general practice residency at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh. During his year at the residency, Dr. Dumpert worked one-on-one with specialists to further expand and improve his clinical skills. At that point in his career, Dr. Dumpert developed a passion for continuing education, and committed to stay up to date with the most innovative techniques and materials available, allowing him to provide the best care available to his patients.

In July 2017, Dr. Dumpert received his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To receive this award, Dr. Dumpert completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Dumpert has joined an elite group of about 6485 members of the national dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

"In June 2018, Dr Dumpert received the prestigious Mastership Award during the AGD’s convocation ceremony. The Mastership Award (MAGD) is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence. To accomplish this, Dr. Dumpert completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Dumpert has joined over 3,434 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics there are an estimated 110,400 General Dentists who are employed directly in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Dumpert prides himself in practicing comprehensive, minimally invasive, preventive dentistry which involves identifying and addressing problems before they have the chance to grow into more extensive, and more expensive, problems. Dr. Dumpert is excited for the opportunity to return to his hometown and provide a dental home and long-term care to the community he grew up in.
